Record breaking January and February for TaxAssist Accountants

It has been a record high number of new business enquiries for the accounting franchise this tax season

The accountancy firm’s record-breaking numbers have been attributed to footfall in stores for one, but also the hard work of its teams at the support centre. Group business development director, James Mattam, was quick to give the support teams credit.

He said: “Our accountants have reported being very busy, and have been delighted with the volume of personal tax returns and businesses owners looking to appoint an accountant during January and February. The inbound sales team at the support centre have experienced high volumes of new clients calling in, and in anticipation of this, we increased the size of the team to manage the expected demand.

“We qualified over 1,300 leads to the network during January and over 1,100 in February. March is also looking to be a strong month for new business leads so we’re excited about the results we can achieve for the franchise network during 2022.”

Part of this increase of customers can be put down to the tax year being extended into February and HMRC waiving late fees for this month, but nevertheless, these are very promising numbers for TaxAssist.
