The Travel Franchise reports big wins its Cruise Division

Franchisees have found the cruise industry fruitful, following a targeted training programme from The Travel Franchise

The Travel Franchise has reported increased sales in cruise holidays since implementing a specialist training programme in 2022 to better support franchisees selling in the sector.

The training course, known as the Cruise Mastery Programme, includes online and face-to-face specialist training from cruise experts and operators as well as ship tours, access to the franchise’s cruise website, and attendance to Seminar at Sea sessions.

A total of 360 franchisees have signed up to the franchise’s Cruise Mastery Programme, with some securing £135,000+ for a single cruise booking, and others now reliant on cruise holidays for a large portion of their sales.

For example, cruises now contribute to 40% of franchisee Tracey Fordham’s sales. She recently secured a £89,000 cruise booking and has now sold more than 40 cruise holidays.

Meanwhile, fellow franchisee Vikki Coffey created a tailormade Meatloaf themed cruise holiday, which booked 1,700 people and earned her more than £1,000,000.

Paul Harrison, co-founder of The Travel Franchise said subscription to the training programme and its consequential results have surpassed all expectations.

“We’ve been absolutely blown away by the increase in our cruise sales over these two years,” said Harrison.

“In the past many of our agents would avoid cruise bookings because they thought they were too complicated. We knew there was money to be made that our agents just weren’t grasping and we wanted to address this.

“With our training we’ve demystified and simplified the whole cruise booking and sales process. Now our agents are actually choosing to specialise in the field and purposefully going out there to get the cruise bookings.”

There are 56 new cruise ships on the order books until 2028 for franchisees to sell.

By 2027, more than 40 million passengers will have cruised, according to Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
