Extra Help franchise network wins multiple awards

Extra Help franchise network wins multiple awards

There’s no denying that 2021 was a year of uncertainty for everyone. But for Extra Help, the home-help franchise network, it ended on a high note

Extra Help continued to operate throughout the pandemic, providing home-help services to many clients across the country. As a result, the brand gained more and more recognition at an industry level and won several awards, including being named one of Elite Franchise’s Top 100.

It also won the Top Franchise Diamond Award at the Trustist Awards, as well as a Work Buzz Continuous Improvement Award at the British Franchise Association Annual Conference. This award was judged solely on franchisee feedback and is rock-solid proof that Extra Help’s franchisees are happy and recognise its commitment to constant network improvement. Extra Help’s franchisees also won various, regional awards throughout the year, further substantiating its claim to being an award-winning franchise network.

The icing on the cake was at the end of the year when Extra Help’s managing director, Claire Robinson, won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. As a regional winner, Claire was then entered into the National Chamber Business Awards, resulting in a further win.

Extra Help was chosen to receive the Game Changer Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sponsored by the British Business Bank, in recognition of Claire’s work in building the Extra Help franchise network.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognises a business owner who has “transformed an idea into a successful, sustainable business by understanding their market’s key challenges, customers and the competitive landscape”. The judges were particularly impressed with Extra Help’s ability to recruit new franchisees and triple its profits, despite the impact of COVID-19. They commented that Extra Help is a “stand-out example of how firms can continue to flourish by adapting to the changing business conditions caused by the pandemic”.

Claire founded Extra Help in 2010. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to build a strong, family-like network of 35 franchisees, all of which offer home help and cleaning services to many different types of people, from the elderly to busy parents and time-poor workers. An astonishing 3.5 million homes now have access to Extra Help’s home help and cleaning services.

Claire said: “I’m so proud of Extra Help and delighted that I was chosen to receive this prestigious, national award. My sincere thanks go to my franchisees for choosing Extra Help and making it the success it is today. It’s thanks to their hard work, initiative and resilience that we’re able to provide the services that make such a difference to people’s lives.

“We’re all looking forward to working together, over the coming year, to ensure Extra Help provides a helping hand to even more people across the UK.”
