UFC GYM, the international fitness brand, has entered the UK franchise market
Are you looking for the ultimate franchise opportunity? The international fitness brand, UFC GYM, has made its way to the United Kingdom and is empowering members to ‘Train Different®’.
Two key figures leading the charge for UFC GYM UK are former international Karate English and British heavyweight champion, Director Joe Long, and Head of Operations, Dominique Deol.
Decades of experience
The United Kingdom was one of the highest profile omissions from the UFC GYM’s international portfolio, which included locations in the USA, Canada, Russia and Australia. Joe explains: “The UFC GYM UK project was kick-started through a relationship with Michael Bisping, the former UFC world champion and UFC GYM franchisee for Costa Mesa, California.
“The executive team behind UFC GYM UK are perfectly equipped for this task when considering the diverse backgrounds of the senior management and investment team, whose experience spans decades and combines the industries of franchising, fitness operations, MMA and sport promotion.”
The master franchise team provides franchisees with support throughout the entire franchise process, from site selection, lease negotiation, build out, marketing and advertising, to recruitment, training and ongoing support.
Adam Sedlack, President of UFC GYM, says: “We are thrilled to work with the experienced team of UFC GYM UK to bring our Train Different® philosophy to the UK and Ireland markets. This marks a historic opportunity for the brand, as the UK and Ireland markets play host to a significant population of MMA fans and fitness enthusiasts.”
Executing the vision
UFC GYM UK has opened two corporately-owned flagship clubs in Nottingham and Woking. These are showcase fitness clubs and since they’ve opened the team has seen a huge interest in UFC GYM with a fantastic welcome, a great reaction and franchise interest at an organic high.
UFC GYM enters the UK and Republic of Ireland as part of an exclusive partnership with TD Lifestyle plc, which has committed to opening more than 100 locations.
UFC GYM is the first major brand extension of UFC®, the world’s premier MMA organisation. In alliance with New Evolution Ventures™ (NeV), a developer of many of the world’s most successful fitness brands, UFC GYM offers a full range of group fitness classes, private MMA coaching, personal and group dynamic training, plus MMA-style youth programming, providing something for all ages and fitness levels.
As the first to combine the worlds of MMA and fitness, UFC GYM’s Train Different® approach creates an atmosphere where members can see immediate results. UFC GYM is the ultimate fitness experience. The brand is not what you expect and more than you can imagine.
UFC GYM UK provides two distinctive franchise concepts: the world renowned UFC GYM fitness club and the state-of-the-art boutique concept, CLASS UFC GYM.
UFC GYM is a full-scale premium facility with a whole host of amenities, including cryotherapy and compression treatments. The facilities also include other amenities, such as the Armbar Cafe and retail outlet.
CLASS UFC GYM is a boutique concept offering High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Boxing classes led by CLASS UFC GYM accredited coaches. CLASS UFC GYM is a state-of-the-art fitness studio that is a one-of-a-kind, heart pumping environment with the best equipment and high spec recovery area, including cryotherapy units and physiotherapy facilities.
Heritage and authenticity
With every great concept there are challenges. For UFC GYM UK, that purpose is educating potential members about the heritage and authenticity behind the brand, while dispelling any notion that UFC GYM is a ‘fight club’.
Empowering men, women and children from ages six upwards through the disciplined teachings of martial arts, it is UFC GYM’s focus on creating an inclusive environment that sets the brand above other fitness club operators.
Empowering families in sports
For Dominique Deol, one of the most fulfilling elements of bringing UFC GYM to the UK is being able to introduce more families to UFC GYM facilities and the positive benefits exercising can bring.
She says: “Welcoming women and children into a more mainstream martial arts environment has been very fulfilling. We offer a premium facility with fantastic equipment and top notch coaching, where members can access a wide range of traditional classes such as Zumba, Yoga and Spin, as well as Muay Thai and Youth Jiu-Jitsu, in a high spec and high tech environment.”
A class above
UFC GYM’s primary goal encompasses the Train Different® philosophy embodied within UFC GYM globally. The UFC champion is the best trained athlete in the world. Through exclusive access to UFC athletes, ongoing analysis of their training and nutrition regimens and their incorporation as programme advisers and coaches, UFC GYM makes elite training available to everyone.
The unique selling point of UFC GYM is the focus on family engagement within a community. 83UFC GYM combines most fitness aspects under one roof, while providing the best member experience possible. Every member of the family, regardless of ability or fitness experience, will have a safe, clean supportive environment in which to achieve their fitness goals.
UFC GYM UK believes this is a well-timed opportunity for the brand to enter the UK market, where growth potential is massive due to the persistent positive industry trends. UFC GYM’s offerings are in alignment with the forecasted fitness trends, including functional fitness, boutique classes, wearable technology and specialised group training.
As said by fitness industry icon, Mark Mastrov: “UFC GYM offers incredible investment opportunities for passionate fitness enthusiasts. With the UFC GYM brand, franchise owners can expect to make a special impact in the UK and Ireland fitness market. Our Train Different® approach to fitness continues to innovate the way customers get fit and empower themselves for the everyday circumstance of life.”
This unrivalled franchising opportunity aims to inspire families and communities to engage with a unique training atmosphere that is inclusive of everybody.
