Pets 2 Places is a unique pet transportation service that offers a high-quality transport option for owners to accompany their pets when travelling. Founded by Claire Harris, who saw a need for owners to be able to get their pets to appointments but struggled with human taxis who were not accommodating.

Recognised as an industry leader and the world’s first pet taxi franchise, Pets 2 Places use a car rather than a van and transport only one family’s pets at a time. This is unique in the pet transport world.

Whilst the cost of the franchise is £5,000, there is an expectation to buy a specific vehicle, although it does not need to be brand new. Franchisees have the potential to start earning straight away.

The initial training is conducted over three days from Pets 2 Places’ headquarters in Milton Keynes.

Over the three days, you will learn all the core skills and techniques to ensure you are able to transport any pet safely with a focus on welfare. You will, in collaboration with Pets 2 Places, fit out your vehicle with everything needed to start your business the day you return.

The initial training is very hands-on and you will accompany a member of the Pets 2 Places team on client bookings and practice what you have learned in a safe environment.

Each day you will cover part of the business side of things in a structured way to ensure you are comfortable with all the systems in use. This will include setting up all your social media accounts, newsletters and CRM and accounting package.

Within two months of completing your training, you will be visited by the Pets 2 Places team to benefit from further training and mentoring in your own territory.

In addition, you will have access to a number of experts in their field to offer additional support in aspects such as finance, social media and recruitment. There is a Facebook group for franchisees to help support each other and ask any questions as well as share their stories with likeminded people.

Currently, Pets 2 Places is actively looking for franchisees in the Manchester area, Leeds, Bournemouth, London, and Birmingham as these are areas with a waiting list of clients.
