When Nik Allen started his magazine company in 2006 from a cupboard underneath his stairs, there was no master plan to grow into the south east’s biggest independent magazine publisher and start up a fast growing franchise.

What began as a village news magazine now spans 15 titles in Middlesex and Hertfordshire and prints more than 100,000 magazines with a readership of 285,000 every month.

“The success of My News gave me the idea to launch the VISION magazine franchise,” Nik says. “My team and I have built up a considerable amount of knowledge and experience covering all aspects of advertising sales, editorial, design and publishing and that is all passed onto our franchisees.
