Chantry Group has announced the launch of the Chantry Foundation, a not-for-profit venture which seeks to turbocharge new franchisors entering the market.
Founded in 2007 with the aim of setting new standards in the world of franchise marketing and recruitment, Chantry Group has since grown to become the largest franchise marketing and recruitment agency in the UK.
During the past 16 years, they have worked with dozens of franchisors across all sectors, including large international businesses entering the UK market for the first time.
But the creation of the Chantry Foundation is focused on just one core pillar: helping small business owners make their first successful strides in the world of franchising.
What is the Chantry Foundation?
The Chantry Foundation is a not-for-profit community interest division set up by Chantry Group, designed to give back to the thriving franchise community they serve. They will achieve this by choosing three businesses each year who are chomping at the bit to start their franchise network.
Chantry will hand hold each business through the tricky early days of finding and onboarding those vital first franchisees. This process will be overseen and managed by a team with decades of combined experience in franchising and growing new brands, including taking one new franchisor to win the HSBC/BFA’s Emerging Franchisor of the Year award.
Speaking about the launch of the Foundation, managing director Chris Cook said: “Chantry’s been guiding and supporting franchisors of all sectors and sizes since 2007. We’ve gotten bigger since then, and so have our clients – but we love helping small business owners with big ambitions to become the giants of the future.
“So we decided it was time to combine that love with our passion for doing the right thing, and give something back to the amazing franchise community we work in daily.”
The three selected Chantry Foundation businesses for 2023/2024
For 12 months following their franchise launch, the chosen trio of aspiring franchisors will receive:
● Chantry Group’s proven franchise marketing set-up and launch process, including planning and creative, used successfully by some of the UK’s leading franchisors.
● Lead handling and conversion process, support and direction.
● Ongoing mentoring, guidance and support on franchise operations.
In essence, the Chantry Foundation offers aspiring franchisors the key to unlocking their foundational franchise growth. This commitment to nurturing the best first-stage franchisees lays the groundwork for enduring success and exponential expansion.
Just to be clear, this is not some sort of marketing promotion; no revenue goes to Chantry Group UK limited. All client funds will be managed in a separate client, with full transparency.
What businesses will need to take part
Aspiring franchisors interested in taking up the Chantry Foundation offer will need to fulfil certain criteria, including:
• Budget: Businesses need to commit a total budget of at least £3,000 p/m for the year. This includes your 12-month marketing budget of at least £24,000, most likely split relatively equally over the period, and £1,000 p/m towards the lead handling and ongoing mentoring. For complete clarity, the Chantry Foundation will be operating on an entirely not-for-profit basis with a separate bank account offering complete transparency on all transactions.
• Willingness to share: We want to show others what it means to grow from scratch too, so this will be a public journey capturing the ups and downs of recruiting your first franchisees. This will also showcase your culture to your prospects, an important part of franchise growth.
• Understanding: Although we will be following proven processes, we cannot guarantee perfect results and we need to all work together and apply what we learn as we progress – businesses need to be comfortable with this, while not afraid to challenge us too.
