Smoke & Pepper shortlisted for UberEats award

The food franchise is now in the running for Restaurant of the Year 2024, with the winner being announced later this year

The Smoke & Pepper restaurant in Bow, London has been shortlisted for UberEats annual ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award.

The restaurant is one of 130 finalists spanning 12 regions across the UK and Ireland.

The general public has been invited to vote for their favourites, before a panel of food and beverage experts will decide the ultimate winner.

The business who clinches first prize will receive £100,000, while runners-up will also receive a cash prize and a marketing support package to help their brand grow. Last year’s winner was Sandwich Sandwich based in the South West.

The nominated Smoke & Pepper restaurant in Bow opened earlier this year with a hybrid take-away-meets-restaurant concept.

On its brand site, Smoke & Pepper commented: “What started as a passion project in a busy family kitchen, driven by the desire to serve high-quality comfort food at affordable prices, has now grown into a beloved burger joint at the heart of Leyton. Our love for food and creative cooking has earned us attention across Instagram and TikTok.

“But the journey doesn’t end here! With your support, we’ve come this far and now we need your help once again. We are incredibly honoured to be nominated for Restaurant of the Year, and with your votes, we have the chance to win this prestigious title.”
