An innovative Money-Back Challenge is allowing the company to demonstrate the strength of its training and the travel market
For the first time, the Travel Franchise last week refunded no fewer than five business owners their £14,995 Elite franchise fee. The company’s Money-Back Challenge, a unique initiative in the travel industry, refunds franchisees this fee if they achieve a set level of commission in their first year.
The milestone is a testament both to the franchise’s business model, training and support, and the strength of the travel market.
The winners – Sasha, Ian, Richard, Ellie, Emma and Anne – each have inspiring stories that highlight their determination, adaptability, and passion for helping customers create unforgettable holidays. From midwives and teachers to recruiters and retirees, their success proves that with the right tools and guidance, anyone can succeed in travel.
Sasha (pictured top), a recruitment professional working part-time, clinched the Money-Back Challenge while balancing another job. With her exceptional relationship-building skills, she secured bookings that included a £70k luxury cruise.
Ellie (above left), a former teacher, had her first baby, got married, and still achieved the Challenge in her first year, showing that you can balance family life while juggling a home-based travel agency.
Ian and Richard (above centre), who used to work in the hospitality industry, took the leap and now run their agency full time, having achieved the Challenge in under eight months.
Emma and her husband (above right), a former police sergeant, turned their love of travel into a thriving business, finding clients even while on holiday in the Maldives.
Anne, a midwife recovering from a heart attack, booked 17 holidays in her first month. Despite holding down a stressful job full-time, she has been able to achieve the challenge in seven months.
Commenting on her win, Sasha said, “It’s absolutely incredible. From day one, getting my money back was my sole focus. Come hell or high water, I was going to do it. And the company helped me do it. They provide everything you need to make it work – and more. I’m delighted.”
Paul Harrison, co-founder of The Travel Franchise, said, “We’re used to seeing our agents rise to our Challenge, but we’ve never seen so many people win in such close succession before. It’s an extraordinary moment for us, and it’s testament to the fact that if you follow our business model and training – and utilise the support we offer – you can make a success of your company without any experience in travel.”
He added, “Their achievement also highlights the strength of the travel market and reflects the growing demand for holidaymakers to turn to trusted travel agents. People want expert advice and personalised service for their holidays, and our franchisees are perfectly positioned to deliver that.”
Alongside the Money-Back Challenge, The Travel Franchise’s most popular Elite franchise package includes two free membership retreats: one in a short-haul location (the Millionaire’s Retreat) and one in a long-haul location (the Elite Experience). In February the franchise will announce a one-off special offer worth nearly £1,000 attached to the Millionaire’s Retreat.
