Now’s the perfect time to investigate the options franchising has to offer, Encouraging Women into Franchising says
In March, a report released to coincide with International Women’s Day revealed an increase in the number of women starting their own businesses compared to men last year.
Analysing over 1.4 million small businesses within its data, insurance company Simply Business discovered a 31 per cent rise in female-owned businesses. What’s more, 72 per cent said they were in their dream job and 60 per cent were happier than when they were working for someone else.
The idea of running your own business may both excite and scare you. Franchising offers you a path to do something for yourself, while having the security and support of an established brand.
Proven business model
Thinking about starting your own business may be overwhelming or intimidating. However, with franchising you are given exclusive access to a proven business model.
Franchises operate in a range of sectors, so you can turn your hobby, passion or interests into a career. There are many different franchised businesses, from car and van rental operations, to dance schools, home care specialists and logistics operations. The franchise industry really does offer something for everyone.
With the backing of an experienced franchisor, you can use your skill set to take advantage of what you know and make it work for you. You might be a trained dancer who’s always wanted to set up your own dance school or you may be good at putting people at ease and want to build a business which helps others - franchising is the perfect route to help you realise your dreams.
Training and support
Alternatively, you may not have a background in the industry you want to set up a business in, which is where the franchise model comes into its own.
Most franchises don’t expect you to have experience in the industry you’re moving into, which is why they provide comprehensive training programmes and ongoing support to help you grow your own successful business.
The choice is yours
Although we’re currently living through uncertain times, now is the time to decide whether you want to return to your working life as it was before or be happier and more fulfilled as the owner of your own business. The answer might help you decide what steps to take next.
