Carolynne (Caz) Favager has only just joined the Rise franchise, but she’s found success quickly in her hometown of Southport, Ormskirk and Formby.
Caz has worked in the care sector for more than 25 years, which includes a role as head of quality for Cera Care, one of the UK’s largest Home Care providers.
Her experience and passion for healthcare has laid the foundations for early success with Rise.
In less than 12 weeks, new Rise franchisee Caz has delivered 46 seated sports sessions across 28 different care settings.
It means 357 people of varying ages and abilities and with varying physical and mental health challenges have already benefited from Caz’s services.
Why did Caz trade in her successful career for her own business with Rise?
Despite enjoying her established career in the health and wellbeing sector, Caz was ready for something much more independent.
“I always wanted to run my own business and having worked for several of the UK’s leading home care franchises I saw clearly how franchisees benefited from running their own independent business under a strong franchise brand, with excellent processes and systems and amazing support,” she says.
Caz knew the challenges with starting her own venture. The care market is becoming increasingly competitive, profit margins are continually being stretched, recruitment is difficult, it’s a 24 hour a day operation, and meeting the needs of the CQC, who regulate care services is becoming increasingly challenging.
However, Caz saw that Rise presented a way to manoeuvre industry challenges successfully.
“When I discovered Rise, I realised I could continue to make a huge difference to people’s health and wellbeing and run a very successful business, in a market with very limited competition and a much simpler (and profitable!) business model,” she says.
“I had also worked with one of Rise’s co-founders, Trevor Brocklebank, before and was very excited to get involved with Rise as it starts its franchise journey across the UK.”
