Once the franchise agreement has been reached, your training program is scheduled and the site selection and construction process can begin. My Gym will assist with every aspect of the business pre and post-launch, so you can expect your franchise to be operational within six and 12 months of signing up.
My Gym is seeking international franchisees, and is operational in over 30 countries, including the UK. There are multiple My Gym franchise options available, including storefront and mobile.
As a franchisee, you will be able to run age-appropriate structured classes under the My Gym brand, as well as benefit from their proven business model.
The My Gym franchise provides ample training for new franchisees, as well as ongoing support for existing ones. This includes 17 hours of classroom training, and 40 hours of on-the-job training. There is optional additional training available if needed.
Support includes email and phone conversations, on-site visits, written guides, access to the company’s franchisee-only Extranet, and regional and national seminars.
You will need to hire between six to ten employees, depending on the size of your classes. This is important for safety and well being. As a My Gym Mobile franchisee, you will market your services to between 50 to 75 daycare and primary school type facilities within a protected territory. You will aim to secure deals with the facilities who wish to supplement the syllabus, and will lead the My Gym structured classes from within these buildings.
This is the ideal model for demographics where a storefront location would not be viable. The mobile My Gym franchise fees are cheaper, and the startup costs lower.
The My Gym franchise fees range from $25,000-$50,000, depending on whether you opt for the mobile or storefront package. There are also a number of additional costs associated with starting a My Gym franchise.
For the storefront business, the main costs are the real estate purchase and development and equipment, with more minor costs such as advertising and insurance. The overall startup costs are between $50,000–$200,000+. There is an ongoing royalty fee of seven to eight per cent, as well as a one per cent adverting royalty.
The mobile My Gym franchise costs considerably less, with lower franchise fees, no startup costs for real estate, and less investment needed for equipment and other costs. For the mobile business, you will require around $37,000-$50,000 startup capital. Royalties for this model are $125 a month for the first 12 months and $250 a month after.
