About Kidslingo

Kidslingo focuses on teaching Spanish and French to kids, from birth to age 11 in the UK, with songs, drama, games, Makaton and story-telling, creating a multi-sensory language learning experience.

Anna Neville launched the brand in 2013 and as CEO is actively involved in the day to day running of the business. She supported by an expert team of specialists in PR, design and web development. Kidslingo has gone from strength to strength with a dynamic team of over 120 franchisees and tutors across the UK, running hundreds of classes and teaching 15,000 children per week.

How does a Kidslingo franchise work?

Joining Kidslingo presents an exciting opportunity to run your own profitable, flexible children’s languages franchise. It will provide you with the flexibility to fit your working life around other commitments and scale your business if you want to work full-time or build your own team. Franchisees work with primary schools, nurseries, childminders and home educators, in addition to running baby, preschool and after school classes at hired venues.

Kidslingo offers single- and dual-language packages. The franchise term is three years with the option to renew at the end of the term.

How much does a Kidslingo franchise cost?

There are three flexible payment options for the first year:

1. An upfront fee and a percentage of income
2. An upfront fee and 10 monthly payments spread across the year
3. A simple flat franchise fee

For the second and third year, fees are 13.75 per cent of the gross revenue before deductions, with a minimum payment of £1,000+VAT (single-language) or £1,500+VAT (dual-language).

What the brand looks for in a Kidslingo franchisee

You don’t need to be a trained teacher but you do need to be passionate about languages and working with children. If you plan to run the classes yourself, you also must be a confident French and/or Spanish speaker. Franchisees need to be self-motivated, outgoing and family-friendly.

What training and support do Kidslingo franchisees get

The franchisee training programme is comprehensive and covers business planning, financials, teaching, sales and marketing techniques, review of resources, social media, email and web page set up. The initial training is completed online via Kidslingo’s e-learning platform. Following that franchisees attend in-person training on day one.

Franchisees will then be awarded a Kidslingo course completion certificate which means they are a fully qualified and recognised Kidslingo franchisee. In addition, franchisees attend live class observations to examine teaching techniques first-hand, while also receiving on-going support and advice from the head office and the network of like-minded franchisees and tutors across the UK.

Why choose a Kidslingo franchise?

Kidslingo is a multi-award-winning franchise and is the first kids’ language franchise to be awarded a 5-Star Gold accredited by, the Children’s Activities Association, promoting high standards in children’s classes across UK. This accreditation means that the brand continues to invest in its programmes and franchisees, while for parents, schools and nurseries, it means they can be assured that Kidslingo’s compliance, training, customer service, programme and delivery have all been verified by an external, independent and expert body.

In addition, Kidslingo has achieved a 5-Star franchisee satisfaction rating from its franchisees three years in a row, according to the Work Buzz / Smith & Henderson industry bench-marking survey.

Some other benefits include:

• Flexible payment options starting from £1,000
• Minimal class preparation is required
• Flexibility to scale the business based on a change in circumstances
• Building your own team of tutors
• Owning an exclusive territory by language
