Meet Leila: N.Bar’s MD and your port of call

Leila Sanii, managing director at N.Bar, has worked her way up the brand. Now she’s wanting to support others in doing the same

Leila Sanii joined The Grooming Company Holding (TGCH) family of businesses in 2012 and is on hand to support franchisees alongside the franchise support team which is based in the UK.

Leila’s N.Bar story began 11 years ago, when founder Negin Fattahi-Dasmal brought her in as operations manager to expand from a family business to an international success.

“It was an honour to work with Negin,” Leila says. “I’d known her years, as a customer. I knew what she’d created in the UAE and wanted to be a part of her expansion plan.”

Leila has worked her way up through N.Bar, and then through TGCH. She’s now managing director of two of the six brands under TGCH’s umbrella – N.Bar and men’s grooming company, 1847.

“One of the blessings for me was learning the entire operation from Negin, directly. The other blessing came when TGCH acquired N.Bar. They’ve taught me to really understand the numbers. I know business. I know how to grow it.”

Throughout her experience, and as N.Bar began to franchise, Leila has discovered a passion for franchising and what it offers to people wanting to be their own boss. It’s this which she hopes to share with potential investors.

How will N.Bar support you and your business?

N.Bar takes a hands-on approach to supporting its franchisees by fostering a collaborative and supportive network.

“In some respects, because N.Bar has already established a successful business model, operational processes, and a recognisable brand, and because we’re so good at opening stores, it will be easier for you to open your store,” explains Leila.

“Franchising can be likened to ‘copying and pasting’ what we know into your own N.Bar store. We’ve simplified the process for our franchise partners to emulate.”

Leila is just one part in the process to ensure every franchisee receives guidance to succeed.

“The franchise team are always there for our franchise partners. Each person is different in who they are and how they want to run their business, so our support differs to align with them. It starts with our training programme. We’re very hands on so you and your team will be expertly trained by people with first-hand experiences of the day-to-day operations of N.Bar.”

What makes N.Bar special?

If you’re looking at a number of franchises, even within the beauty industry, you may be wondering: what’s so special about N.Bar?

“What Negin created was basically ‘fast glamour for nails.’  But, our number one USP, is our attention to hygiene. So-much-so, the Dubai Municipality uses our standards for beauty hygiene, making them mandatory for every other company to follow,” says Leila.

The ‘break-even period’ of three months is also an attractive prospect for entrepreneurs.

Is N.Bar the right fit for you?

Investing in N.Bar could be advantageous if you want to run a beauty business.

“We’re an established brand, giving you a head start in the market, and enabling you to connect with customers quickly so you achieve your goals as a successful business owner, with our guidance,” says Leila.
