02 launches franchise programme

02 has launched a national franchise programme for 02 retail stores across the UK. The initiative is part of a broader programme to significantly expand 02’s pan-UK store portfolio.

By expanding the network of stores through the franchising model, 02 believes it can combine the best of the owner/operator strengths of the franchisee with the strengths of the 02 brand, systems, services and products, including the collective benefits of 02’s own brand marketing and advertising programme.

02 has already had success with a franchise approach in Germany, where it today operates over 300 franchise and partner outlets.
