New website from Sage and BHP Information Solutions provides expert advice to small businesses

A new tax advice website aimed at helping small to medium-sized businesses has been launched by accountancy software provider Sage and business publisher BHP Information Solutions.

The Tax Donut (www.taxdonut.co.uk) features tips, tools and calculators to help small firms get the best deals on their tax dues.

Guides include how to complete tax returns, how to claim for tax breaks and tax relief, how to pay staff and how to make decisions to save money long-term.

BHP founder Rory MccGwire says: “The Tax Donut is the one-stop advice shop for small business - and everything in the shop is free.

“We know how hard small businesses work for their cash, so getting your tax bill right is crucial, but official websites can be confusing.

“We built the Tax Donut so that business owners can get reliable information in plain English and we show them step by step how to manage their tax, making full use of tools in the HMRC website in particular.”
