Patrick Hester to lead Ringwood and Verwood branch in south west England
Meyers Estate Agents’ latest franchisee has said the “timing was right” to start his own business, having previously worked for estate agents such as Austin & Wyatt, Winkworth and Allsopp and Allsopp.
Patrick Hester, now owner of Meyers’ Ringwood and Verwood franchise in the south west of England, says: “I’ve always wanted to run my own estate agency and now, with 10 years’ experience in both the UK and abroad, the timing was right.
“I worked with some of the Meyers’ franchisees in other firms a few years ago, more recently following their progress and success with Meyers.
“I’m from Poole originally and know the surrounding area well, so when the opportunity became available to run the Meyers franchise for Ringwood and Verwood it was the perfect choice.”
According to Patrick, the past two years have demonstrated that a high street presence is not a prerequisite for success for an estate agent.
“Even before the pandemic, I remember sitting in a branch office at my old firm without a customer setting foot through the door for at least a fortnight,” he says.
“I really like the Meyers’ modern model as instead the emphasis is on taking advantage of technology and adding intelligent, high quality marketing and a level of professionalism which is creating a new vision of estate agency.
