Previously, Andrew was a senior associate at leading Scottish law firm Harper Macleod, where he spent seven years advising clients on franchising, intellectual property and brand protection matters.

Andrew also has Qualified Franchise Professional status, awarded by the British Franchise Association, and prior to becoming a franchising lawyer spent a number of years as a franchise consultant working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, including Ralph Lauren, American Eagle and Esprit.

He says: “With the spotlight firmly on franchising in Scotland with Scottish Franchise Week starting next week [September 11-12], I believe there has never been a better time to introduce a new and energetic specialist law firm with franchising at its heart.

“We will be providing boutique legal services to franchisors and franchisees throughout the UK and are also highly experienced in advising international brands looking to enter the UK and European markets.

“Our firm is in a unique position of having in depth commercial experience of franchising together with the often complicated legal aspects.”
