ComputerXplorers is a children’s computing education franchise, running engaging, interactive computing classes for children from pre-school to secondary school age.
The business prepares children for a technology-driven future through extra-curricular education at after-school sessions, weekend academies, holiday camps, and in-school lessons. Since launching in 2006 in the UK, it has grown to include 28 UK and six international family businesses, teaching between 15,000 and 30,000 students each week.
ComputerXplorers was the original franchise that XplorerGroup’s Managing Director, Stuart Harley, joined as a franchisee in 2019 and since his takeover as the ComputerXplorers franchisor, the brand has increased its turnover by 300%. - Business development: Connecting with local schools to offer after-school clubs, workshops, or weekend clubs. These relationships are valuable, so even when schools are on board, you’ll maintain regular contact. This will allow you to gather continuous feedback so that you’re able to grow and improve your ComputerXplorers services.
- Marketing: While ComputerXplorers will provide marketing support for the first year, there will be the need for you to create localised marketing content, such as social media posts or partnerships.
- Teaching and lesson planning: Particularly in the early stages, before you have recruited additional teachers, you will work with the resources provided to plan and run the children’s lessons.
