WPA Healthcare franchisees (or partners, as they call them) focus on the service they provide to their clients. Every partner is given extensive training in order to fully understand the needs of the client and to give the best advice possible without rushing into something.
If you become a healthcare partner, you will become the face of WPA in your local area. You will be meeting with new and existing members to help tailor the WPA services and policies to their needs. This provides you with a great advantage over suppliers of other healthcare policies, who rarely get to know their customer and some of whom never meet their clients face-to-face.
Operating within this proven model will give you the confidence to be successful. You have greatly reduced levels of risk whilst at the same time being able to maintain the flexibility that comes with owning your own business. The franchise model is structured in order to meet your needs and allow you to build a long-term, sustainable business over which you can have complete control.
There are currently more than 70 WPA Healthcare partners across the UK, and WPA has full membership with the British Franchise Association (BFA).
There are numerous options involved with becoming a WPA Healthcare franchisee. You can either start a brand-new branch with no existing clients or purchase an existing branch with its own current clients.
If you opt to start a brand new branch, you will be required to pay a one-off investment of £9,200 (including VAT) plus, a returnable fidelity bond of £2,500.
WPA’s unique launch package combines world-class support and training to help give your business the best possible chance of surviving and thriving during the start-up phase.
If you take on a new WPA Healthcare practice with no existing clients, you could be eligible for a £15,000 launchpad fund. This is a fund that will be incrementally released through your first two years of business and is based on your results as a business.
Along with the launchpad fund, you will also be assigned a mentor by WPA for the first two years you are in business. This mentor will use their experience as a WPA partner to guide you through what can be a challenging time in any business. This experience may prove crucial to your success and is the reason why WPA is so popular amongst prospective franchisees.
You will also be provided with a £3,000 marketing budget to help you promote your WPA Healthcare practice. This can be applied to anything such as hosting networking events, acquiring target market data, attending exhibitions and running marketing campaigns both online and offline.
As a WPA franchisee, you will be given access to a bespoke Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software package that will help you efficiently and effectively run your business and provide the best possible service to your clients and prospective clients.
Whenever you sign a new client policy in your first two years, WPA Healthcare will give you enhanced fees to ensure that you are as profitable as possible as quickly as possible.
Lastly, WPA Healthcare is a professional business with a strong reputation and as such will require you to train for and maintain a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Insurance. This is all paid for by the company including your exam, studying materials and also ongoing membership to the CII.
Healthcare partners don’t need any specific experience or formal qualifications, but WPA looks for those people who are extraordinary communicators, who can take the time to listen to the needs of the client first and foremost, as well as answering any question or concerns the client might have. This is the focus here and everything else is provided by in-depth training from WPA.
A WPA Healthcare practice partnership might be a great choice for you if you have the drive and ambition necessary to make your business succeed. WPA hold themselves and their partners to the highest of standards. For example, franchisees are only allowed to hold one operation area each and are not allowed to undertake any marketing outside of that area.
On top of that, they are a non-profit organisation which means that they aren’t driven by the same motivations of absolute profit as other companies, which leaves you free to focus on providing the absolute best service to your customer and something you can be proud of.
