Just Cuts wins prestigious Global Franchise Award

Hairdressing brand named Best Lifestyle Franchise at virtual ceremony

Just Cuts was named Best Lifestyle Franchise at the Global Franchise Awards virtual ceremony on April 30.

Amber Manning, the international hairdressing brand’s CEO, accepted the award at the Just Cuts Academy in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire and thanked salon owners, stylists and clients.

She said: “On behalf of our very talented, hard-working franchise owners, our teams in 220 salons across Australia, New Zealand and the UK and our academy team, thank you.

“On behalf of our founder and managing director Denis McFadden, an even bigger thank you.

“To be recognised like this on the international stage is such a significant honour for both our brand and our people - especially given the last 12 months we have lived through together.”

The Global Franchise Awards recognise organisations committed to international growth and celebrate the brands that are working hardest to advance the cause of international franchising.

The judging panel included CEOs from both the British and International Franchise Associations and Mary Aldred, CEO of the Franchise Council of Australia.

Despite the COVID challenge, 2020 was a year of milestones for Just Cuts.

Last year marked 30 years of success for its franchise owners around the world.

It also marked 30 years of success for Leigh-Anne Brosens, Just Cuts’ first franchise owner. Based in the Sydney suburb of Engadine, she celebrated the achievement with her long-serving stylist, Lynette.

“We’re incredibly proud of the fact that more than half of our owners are multi-salon owners and that we’ve delivered for our owners, stylists and clients for 30 years and counting,” Amber says.

“We’re immensely proud of the fact that we are the largest hairdressing company in the Southern Hemisphere and that our UK family continues to grow and grow rapidly.

“This award reflects the passion and professionalism of each and every person who is part of our success, whether past, present or future. And on behalf of each and every one of us, thank you.”
