Paris Baguette opens first UK location in Battersea Power Station

The neighbourhood bakery franchise is looking to partner with someone in Greater London to be their first UK franchisee

Paris Baguette, the category-defining boulangerie café brand, famous for its freshly made cakes, baguette sandwiches, and locally-roasted coffee, has opened the doors to its first UK location at Battersea Power Station in London.

Jack F. Moran, the head of Paris Baguette Europe, says: “Our vision is to restore the neighbourhood boulangerie café to the heart of the community across the UK, and we are delighted to take this first step here in London’s newest and most vibrant neighbourhood.”

The company’s leadership identified the iconic Grade II listed Battersea Power Station as its first UK entry point due to its unique blend of shops, bars, restaurants, leisure and entertainment venues, parks, and historical spaces.

“After successfully operating five Paris Baguette branches in Paris, France, we are excited to share our French bakery savoir-faire with our new London neighbours,” adds Christophe Laroze, the Head of Paris Baguette UK and France.

“Additionally, our team is hard at work opening more boulangeries across the country, starting in London and the southeast, and establishing new franchisee partnerships to help us expand our brand presence, creating local business ownership, investing in the local economy, and adding more jobs to the community.”

The company believes that British bakery consumers need freshly made and delicious celebration cakes, and the company is primed to meet that demand. Nicolas Gaillot, chief operating officer of Paris Baguette UK, explains: “We are extremely proud to serve our beautiful signature cakes prepared daily using only the finest and freshest ingredients.

“Our cakes are surprisingly light and not too sweet, something very different from what other UK bakeries produce. We believe eating just one slice will be a revelation to our British guests and we can’t wait to serve them!”
