Multi-unit franchising makes “complete business sense”, Papa John’s franchisee says

Sukhbir Gill and Lucky Singh now own a dozen pizza outlets in the north west of England

Papa John’s franchisee Lucky Singh has underlined the benefits of running multiple branches of the same franchise brand, following the opening of his 12th store in the north west of England.

Along with business partner Sukhbir Gill, Lucky’s latest store is in the Cheshire town of Runcorn. The pair have also recently taken over an already established Papa John’s store in the region.

Lucky explains: “Being multi-unit operators has always been our goal. It makes complete business sense. 

“Managing stores located near each other means we can capitalise on our local marketing strength, plus recruitment and staff training is easier too. Our people have more opportunity for promotion within our outlets and we know happy staff make great pizza - and that means very happy customers.”

Lucky and Sukhbir joined Papa John’s from a rival pizza business, where they worked for eight years.

“The Papa John’s franchise was attractive because it’s growing so quickly, so there are many opportunities for expansion in the UK,” Lucky adds. “At our previous firm, there really was nowhere to go, so we were looking for a new opportunity. 

“In addition, there’s no question Papa John’s pizza is the best on the high street. So far, the feedback has been excellent, which is great news for building and expanding our customer base.”
