The brand-new global campaign is aimed at its students to help them feel motivated and supported during periods of isolation
The brand-new campaign, called ‘stagecoachathome’, offers students around the world free virtual sessions that they can work through alongside their new routine of home schooling.
When the situation surrounding the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic became clear, the franchise support team leapt into action, quickly devising a plan to support franchisees to retain current students. In line with Stagecoach Performing Arts’ consistent commitment to its students, teachers and franchisees health, safety and wellbeing, the brand has funded a series of virtual Stagecoach sessions.
Every Monday, the session will focus on singing, whilst on a Wednesday the videos will be on dance and activities suitable for Early Stages students. On a Friday, the spotlight will move to acting. These are to be hosted online and sent out via email to parents over the coming weeks, so students can follow the 10-minute videos at home whilst face-to-face activity is on hold.
“This is a very uncertain time for us all so our number one priority is to ensure our franchise network and the students who learn with us feel reassured and supported,” explained Andy Knights, COO at Stagecoach Performing Arts. “With all UK families now on lockdown, it’s imperative that they continue with as much structure as possible – including regular Stagecoach sessions! Franchisees can now share a series of short videos, hosted by our teachers, with their students. We feel as though this could be a real lifeline for parents now managing the unfamiliarity of the current situation.”
In addition, the Stagecoach support centre team are encouraging the global network of over 50,000 students to share any additional video or social media content using the hashtag #stagecoachathome. That way, the community-minded network can utilise each other’s content, whether that be an activity students can try at home, clips of students completing the exercises or sharing the fun interactions they would normally experience in class.
Since kicking off the campaign earlier last week, hundreds of franchisees, teachers and students have taken part. Students have shared messages with friends they’re missing, teachers have encouraged children to carry on with their regular exercises and franchisees have told their students how excited they are to welcome them back once again. Stagecoach is adamant that, for the benefit of the entire network of franchisees, students, teachers, assistants and support staff, the show must go on.
