Taking place on July 11 at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club, the bfa’s Chairman’s Charity Day was hosted by current bfa chairman, John Spencer
The day saw 24 attendees playing rounds of golf in teams of four. After 18 rounds, the team that won comprised Ken Braddock, Marc Talbot and Tony Massey from HSBC, and Ken Deary from Right at Home.
The longest drive went to Moss Sirisom of Inspired Energy and Byn Piper of DC Thomson secured the hit closest to the hole.
The overall winner of the day based on a handicap was Ken Braddock from HSBC, winning golf equipment.
Spencer was thrilled to see the supportive turnout, saying: “The day was a huge success with everyone coming together for a bit of friendly competition. While our annual charity day is designed for our attendees to enjoy themselves, it’s all in the name of an important cause.
“The profits made from this day will go directly to The Franchise Trust, as we believe that through franchising we can offer people a better future.”
The Franchise Trust is a UK franchise charity, seeking to support futures in franchising by offering training and employment opportunities to people in need, as well as many other initiatives designed to enable people from less fortunate backgrounds to thrive in the franchising industry.
