Papa John’s brings pizza to Bridgend

Multi-unit franchisee, Clif Roberson, will run the store with the help of a newly recruited team of 20

Papa John’s has opened a new store in Bridgend near Cardiff. Multi-unit franchisee, Clif Roberson, who first joined the pizza franchise in 2016, will now run the store with the help of a newly recruited team of 20.

Clif Roberson confirms: “This is the first time Papa John’s has launched in Bridgend and it’s an exciting time. It’s great that we can offer new jobs at every level and now move forward with growing the business after the challenges of the restrictions over the past 18 months.

“Bridgend is a fantastic town which has been on our radar for some time. It’s simply been a case of finding the perfect location. The brand-new store is now open on Tremains Road, which is on the edge of the town centre and on a busy retail area meaning there is plenty of parking and its convenient for both takeout and deliveries alike.” 

Clif Roberson now runs eight franchised Papa John’s in the region with the support of 150 team members. He says: “Our people are the key ingredient to our success. We provide thorough training for all our team members and the chance to progress if they choose. By putting people first, our motivated team are always happy to deliver great pizza to the communities we serve.

“To open the new store, Papa John’s has been able to support us with deals on equipment and reduced rental for a limited time. Papa John’s now has more than 500 stores in the UK and also partners with non-traditional venues such as holiday resorts, sports stadiums and even pubs to ensure customers can enjoy all the fun of the Papa John’s experience with friends and family where and when suits them.
