The spicy Indian wrap festival and event catering business has partnered with The Chaat is Safe Inc.
Headed by Tejas Vemparala, the business will open Chapati Man fixed food-to-go sites and operate food trucks across the Big Apple and State of New York.
Chapati Man was founded in London by husband and wife team Chris and Andrea Rai in 2007.
Chris says: “This a huge statement for the Chapati Man brand and concept.
“Breaking into the US market is a massive achievement. I can’t wait to see our Indian elephant branding on the streets of the Big Apple. They’re going to love our product. Fingers crossed that other US states will follow soon.”
Tejas says: “We’ve observed the growth of the popularity of Chapati Man in the UK and are confident we can hit the ground running in New York, one of the icon cities of street food.”
